Impacts to the water quality of the Vermilion River associated with the proposed project would be similar for all alternatives considered in the Final EIS including the Selected Alternative.

It is not expected that impacts of the proposed project would be noticeably greater than impacts currently attributable to the existing Thruway.

COMMITMENT:

Design of the river crossing will be conducted so as to not restrict the flow of the Vermilion River for the 100 year flood.

Temporary erosion control procedures to control sediment-laden runoff from unstable construction embankments will be employed to minimize impacts to the Vermilion River during the construction phase of the project.
